‘What Nigerians want is action on inflation, insecurity, unemployment, not political rivalry’ — ADC

<img width="700" height="500" src="https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/ADC-logo1.jpg" class="webfeedsFeaturedVisual wp-post-image" alt="" style="display: block; margin: auto; margin-bottom: 5px;max-width: 100%;" link_thumbnail="" decoding="async" loading="lazy" srcset="https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/ADC-logo1.jpg 700w, https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/ADC-logo1-300x214.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /> <p>The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to focus more on addressing Nigeria’s economic and security challenges rather than engaging in political battles with his opponents.</p> <p>The party’s National Leader of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Dr Chike Okogwu, made the call in a statement issued on Saturday while reacting to the President’s recent comments on political competition.</p> <p>&#8220;What Nigerians want is action on inflation, insecurity, unemployment and the rising cost of living, not political rivalry,&#8221; Okogwu said.</p> <p>He urged the Federal Government to make improving the lives of Nigerians its top priority by addressing the issues affecting families and businesses across the country.</p> <p>The ADC chieftain also drew attention to the challenges faced by Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).</p> <p>According to him, many still struggle to access healthcare, education, transportation, employment and other essential public services.</p> <p>He called on governments at all levels to fully implement the Disability Act and introduce policies that promote equal opportunities and inclusion for persons with disabilities.</p> <p>According to him, the ADC supports policies that promote accessible public infrastructure, quality education, improved healthcare, employment opportunities and greater participation of persons with disabilities in governance.</p> <p>He added that public office holders would ultimately be judged by how much they improve the lives of citizens rather than by political victories.</p> <p><a href="https://dailypost.ng/2026/08/01/what-nigerians-want-is-action-on-inflation-insecurity-unemployment-not-political-rivalry-adc/">&#8216;What Nigerians want is action on inflation, insecurity, unemployment, not political rivalry&#8217; — ADC</a></p>
