<p>Northwest University Kano has expelled 34 students after finding them guilty of examination malpractice, while several others have received various disciplinary sanctions.<br>The decision was announced in a statement released on Tuesday by the university’s Head of Public Relations, Abubakar Ibrahim.</p>
<p>According to the statement, the disciplinary actions followed the institution’s review of the report submitted by the Examination Misconduct Investigation Committee for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.</p>
<p>The university said, “34 students have been expelled, 18 suspended from their studies, while 22 others received written warnings” based on the committee’s findings.</p>
<p>It added that one student, Rukayya Ahmad Zukuri, was exonerated after the allegations against her were reviewed.</p>
<p>The university also reminded students to comply with examination regulations and uphold the principles of honesty and academic integrity in all aspects of their studies.</p>
