<img width="1440" height="882" src="https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Confluence-University-of-Science-and-Technology-CUSTECH.jpg" class="webfeedsFeaturedVisual wp-post-image" alt="" style="display: block; margin: auto; margin-bottom: 5px;max-width: 100%;" link_thumbnail="" decoding="async" loading="lazy" srcset="https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Confluence-University-of-Science-and-Technology-CUSTECH.jpg 1440w, https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Confluence-University-of-Science-and-Technology-CUSTECH-300x184.jpg 300w, https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Confluence-University-of-Science-and-Technology-CUSTECH-1024x627.jpg 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /> <p>The management of Confluence University of Science and Technology, CUSTECH, Kogi&nbsp;&nbsp;State, has expelled two students for engaging in gay practices and rusticated four others for one academic session over fighting on campus.</p> <p>This is contained in separate letters addressed to the affected students and signed by the Deputy Registrar, Academics, Eli Gbadafu, on&nbsp;Saturday.</p> <p>The institution said the disciplinary actions followed recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee and were ratified at the 31st regular meeting of the university’s Senate.</p> <p>According to the institution, the sanctions were imposed in line with the provisions of the Students’ Handbook, Second Edition, as amended in 2025.</p> <p>The two expelled students were: Onumoko Hamza, Biology Education Department; and Abdulazeez Eneji, Mining Engineering Department.</p> <p>Both were found guilty of gay practice after investigation by the disciplinary committee.</p> <p>The four rusticated students are Favor Akowe of Microbiology, Simbiat Babamuharuna of Biology; Zainab Omayoza and Sukura Bukola, both of Biochemistry Department.</p> <p>They were sanctioned for involvement in a fight on campus.</p> <p>The university said the measures were part of efforts to uphold discipline and protect the academic environment.</p> <p>The management reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline, order and a conducive environment for teaching and learning.</p> <p>The university vowed to take decisive action against any student found to have violated its rules.</p> <p>CUSTECH further urged all students to familiarise themselves with the Students’ Handbook and to conduct themselves in accordance with the institution’s regulations.</p> <p><a href="https://dailypost.ng/2026/07/25/kogi-varsity-expels-two-students-for-gay-activities-rusticates-four/">Kogi varsity expels two students for gay activities, rusticates four</a></p>
