<p>A female teacher has reportedly been beaten to death in Ugbamaka, Okpo District of Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State after disciplining a student.</p>
<p>The development was disclosed in a post on X by security and counter-insurgency expert in Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama.</p>
<p>According to reports, the incident occurred after the teacher took disciplinary action against the student.</p>
<p>The student’s father allegedly confronted her over the punishment, and the altercation reportedly turned violent, resulting in her death.</p>
<p>The incident has sparked outrage among residents and education stakeholders, with many expressing concern over the safety of teachers and the increasing cases of attacks on educators while carrying out their duties.</p>
<p>Authorities are yet to officially comment on the incident.</p>
<p>However, an investigation is expected to be launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the teacher’s death and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.</p>
