Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has called on the people of the state to embrace peaceful coexistence and harmony during the Christmas season, irrespective of their religious beliefs.
In his goodwill message on Sunday, the governor urged reflection on the past year’s deeds and prayers for a more prosperous future.
Expressing gratitude for another Christmas, he highlighted the significance of Jesus Christ’s birth and emphasised the teachings of peace, honesty, love and mutual respect.
Stressing the need for harmonious living despite differences, Mohammed encouraged the strengthening of friendships and exchange of visits, particularly among Christians and followers of other faiths.
The governor reiterated the government’s commitment to citizens’ safety, collaborating with security agencies to address threats effectively.
He also assured increased efforts in delivering development during his second term, spanning infrastructure, education, health, and economic empowerment, while seeking continued support and cooperation from the people.
