JAMB may conduct second 2021 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) may conduct a second 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for candidates with genuine registration challenges.

The Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede spoke on Wednesday, in Lagos while monitoring profiling of the candidates.

Oloyede said 17,758 candidates with challenges have been interviewed nationwide.

“We may have to conduct another examination for those with genuine cases after the main UTME slated for June 19 to July 3,” he said.

He noted that some candidates admitted they did not have money to procure UTME forms.

Oloyede said in some cases, applicants sent their NIN to 55012 instead of 55019.

“Others sent the same command with post-paid phones rather than pre-paid,” he added.

The JAMB chief reiterated the board’s commitment to give every Nigerian an equal opportunity.
